Reporter/Law Firm Courtesy Copy

So I drove to Westlake, Ohio and shot some video of the effect of the eclipse today. This video is done in time lapse and runs only 1 minute and 11 seconds. Pay close attention to the clock in the video, totality starts at 3:13 and ends around 3:17-ish. I turned off the automatic gain control so the camera wouldn't replicate your eyes adjusting to the dark. If I didn't, it would have automatically -and artificially- brightened the picture when it was getting dim. Totality doesn't really go black, it's more like a moonless night where you can discern shapes in the almost black surroundings.
